Firmware update fix for VMware ESXi 4.1 stuck at “Initializing scheduler …” screen on boot up for UCS B series servers

Another blogger: Peter Cronwright posted in my earlier post:

VMware ESXi 4.1.0 stuck at “Initializing scheduler …” screen on boot up with Cisco UCS C210 M2 servers

http://terenceluk.blogspot.com/2010/11/vmware-esxi-410-stuck-at-initializing.html

… that the latest UCS 1.4(1m) firmware package that was released on March 1st, 2011 for the B series servers have indicated in the release notes that this problem is now fixed:

The release notes specifically states the following:

"ESXi boot up no longer intermittently hangs at the initializing scheduler.”

As this problem does not appear to be specific to Cisco UCS servers, there may also be updates for other IBM, HP and Dell servers so please check their latest firmware package for further details.
